In recent years in our city of Poznan, as well as in whole Poland one can observe significant increase of sk8ers and people keen on extreme sports. There are no professional sk8parks in our city at all, where young people could practise their riding style and spend their spare time. In response to great demand of young people for such sk8park "E-odlot" Foundation has created a group of people interested in setting up such object in our city. We have asked City Council for the land for this sk8park and financial help.

"E-odlot"Foundation has gathered many young skaters and bikers from Poznan (Poland) in a group highly interested in building first skate-park in our city. We have gained the approval from the city council for creating a skate-park and at the same time were given suitable location of this investment in our city. Skate-park will be located under the viaduct in the very center of district with large amount of blocks of flats, enabling many young skaters and bikers to practice their skills and spend their spare time the way they find most enjoying.

After we have published visualization of sk8park project on our website more and more people have become interested with it, as well as the amount of pople who support our initiative has significantly increased (for e.g. City Road Departament, District Council and cuncillor Ms Magdalena Pauszek. Many young citizens of our city just cannot wait for the construction process of new sk8park to start. Unfortunately the whole poject is very large and expensive and calls for fullfilment of many formal issues.

Our foundation will do whatever we can and use all our capacities in order to gain funds needed for construction of this skate-park.

The area allocated by the city for the skate-park has already been cleaned and prepared. The whole place around the viaduct is a great recreation site. The area under the viaduct itself is still empty and this is where we want our skate-park to be constructed. Such location limits the possibilities land-usage but at the same time offers very suitable site for setting up a skate-park as it would cover the whole area from bad atmospheric conditions making the skate-park itself available for all during the whole year. Our proposal of locating skate park under this viaduct has gained a positive feedback form District Council.

Such location in the very center of 130 thousand district is simply best possible for an investment like this.

We are sure that skate-park will gain approval of local community as all info on our project has been enthusiastically welcomed by many people and especially youth.

All over the world skate-parks like that are situated in the cities and in most cases they are free of charge. We want also our skate-park to be absolutely free of charge, available for anyone and at any time.

Our city (Poznan) is one of very few big cities in Poland without any skate-park or place where skaters and bikers could practice their skills and spend their free time.

To be honest, there are very few places in our city where fans of those kind of activities can practice them with safety for themselves as well as others.

Looking at examples from other countries (e.g. USA) we have noticed that locations under viaducts are a great place for a skate-park. Construction of a skate-park does not require significantly big money capital and can be accomplished gradually over some period of time.
Moreover such object is practically indestructible as it is constructed from concrete sub-elements.

Enabling young people to work out in skating enriches the possibilities of spending spare time as well as enables them to develop their passion. Another positive aspect will be the increase of safety of district residents and limitation of drug addiction among youth. Extreme sports will become real alternative to drugs. Skating in narrow sidewalks within the district can be dangerous for both skaters/bikers and pedestrians, especially elderly.

We hope that the initiative of our foundation will meet with your approval and endorsement. Thanks to City council who gave use land for this skate park we will be able to construct this skate-park..

This is how the mentioned viaduct looks today. We want to transform this place into free, attractive and professional skate park for young skaters/bikers form Poznan as well as for anyone else willing to use it. This location is just great!

Preventing negative phenomenons in youth society (e.g. alcohol, drug taking and dealing, smoking and violence) is extremely vital. It is obvious that it is better to prevent rather than to cure all kinds of addictions. The main task is to elimination of all factors causing to negative behaviour. Another task is to create and promote real alternative for bad behaviour, drugs and alcohol etc. One of the main reasons of today's youth is lack of postitive models in their society. Young people are being constantly said not to do drugs, drink alcohol etc. but at the same time they are not being given any other alternative. Places where they could spend their spare time are very often expensive (cinemas, discos, pubs etc) and available to limited publicity. Creating a free and open sk8park for everyone will integrate young people and enable them gather around skating, biking and other extreme sports.
